IMHO:
Fit a good up rated one and have peace of mind.

1
Ask David at Welcome to the API website for a quote for an up rated Exedy
2
Fit an AP organic via any source.

I second what 911 has said - speak to David at API.

I have an Exedy clutch* and lightened flywheel* fitted to my Type RA and am delighted with the performance/driveability.

*Been on the car since October 2006 and since then the car/clutch combo has performed without fault.

I too had a organic clutch from API, trouble is i am running 350-400 1b/ft torque and although the clutch has only done 300 miles it is on its way out. At Scooby shootout after 3-4 runs up the dragstrip i couldnt get any gears at all i had to wait for it to cool down for over an hour just so i could get home! so i am going to go for the exedy hyper clutch, if i can offer one piece of advice if you can afford future proof your parts that you buy otherwise you just keep changing everything cause it wont cope with the mods.

Steve, I now do a 500 hp uprated disc for the Exedy you already have. You can have one FOC as a warranty 'offer ' if you wish to give it a go. I have it in a number of cars with no problems from launch to launch.

Very sound advice, fit uprated parts to OEM quality/feel and sleep easy and play HARD!
Interesting advance David on the clutch.
Will it fit an AP cover (which i think is the same as an Exedy?)

The API lightened flywheel is well worth the money, very very nice engine response.

Graham.

Exeedy twin plate, this kit comes with a lightened flywheel. I have one fitted to my car, it is not savage to use feels like the stock clutch. Dont think My car will be needing one again. Speak to Paul at Zen Performance.
