As the title says, i was wondering if it would fit into my closed deck block and the conrods from a 2.0 would fit ?

 

You would need a different rod length or pistons or both depending on how you are doing it, and the block will need machining to except the crank as the thrust bearing location is different from phase1 to phase 2 once stroked you will end up with around 2.1lt.

I thought the rods were the same length for both 2.5 and 2.0L ie. 79mm.

I was thinking of doing this myself. I have a closed deck 2.0L block in the garage. Was thinking of using my Rods (eagle 79mm) wiseco pistons(93mm)
and a 2.5 crank to build a strong, high revving 2.1L engine.

Yes they use the same length but if the 2.5 crank is 79mm and the 2.0 is 75mm and if you use the standard rods and piston from the 2lt im pretty sure they will be out the top of the block, so one or "both" has top be changed.

Bigkid. The manifold was left in original position just had the tb welded to the front side and the original intake sealed of.

 

Do you mean the crank throw is different on 2.0 and 2.5l cranks?
