Mrs has an HP P4 laptop which she isn't happy with as it has had a few hardware problems. I still think if I rebuild it from scratch now the hardware issues are sorted out it will work perfectly fine. However it may be the hard drive is degrading as even after a full defrag its disk access to open a small txt file is way above what I would expect, its chugs away.

She has been looking at budget laptop and seen the below and wants to know if its a good deal:

HP 510 Celeron-M 360 512MB 60GB XP Home (RU962AA#ABU)

I lost track of processor specs after P4 and have no idea about all the latest laptop processors. All I remember was Celeron used to be ****.

Is the above OK or is there better out there for the same money? Budget will not go higher than the above laptop.

I also think the laptop should be faster than a P4 otherwise her current laptop would be better off being sorted out.
