Default MY05 STI front diff into WRX ?

Is it possible to install a MY05 STI front diff into a MY05 WRX ? What after market diffs are available ? I am guessing Cusco do one that will fit.

I am looking for something quiet (and minimum hassle to fit) that stops the inside front spinning when leaving tight 2nd gear corners. I assume it should make the centre diff work the rear tyres more if it doesn't lose power through a single spinning front. Having driven a MY06 STI it never seemed to spin a single front tyre.

I don't work to change the entire gearbox, centre diff etc.

Question

This is odd as my 05 WRX more often than not gets the rears spining when giving it some in second out of tight bends.

I've posted about this https://www.scoobynet.com/drivetrain...ml#post6932582 as it used to seem more front biased before the last round of engine mods took it up to c340hp, which is what you'd expect from the fixed 50:50 centre diff..!?

Do you have any chassis mods..?

If the suspension/chassis is standard (which it seems so) I definitely fit an adjustable 22mm rear ARB and solid droplinks first. These are one of the most effective mods you can do the newage scoobs, are relatively cheap (~£150 delivered) and a piece of pi55 to diy fit..!

This will allow the front end to do more work by stiffening up the rear, virtually eliminating understeer. Should also allow better traction at front, which is what you're after.

If you did only one mod it should be this IMHO..!
