just cant get on with Gears of War, so anyone fancy a swap?

Bloody hell, just traded in my rainbow six this afternoon.

 

I was the same mate... bought it played it for about 2 minutes (and that is not a joke) and gave up as it did nothing for me. Are you a PC gamer by chance? as thats my excuse.

play a bit of pc and a bit of Xbox these days, used to be all PC though.

Some people seem to rave about Gears of War, but just not my cup of tea

If you put games down after 2 minutes then you're an idiot. all games these days have a learning curve so you have to give them an hour to get up to speed. Gears of War is a great game.

Well if you're payed £35 for a game you'd at least give it a chance wouldn't you? I mean a lot of people rate it so worth giving it a decent go and then making your mind up. To me it's like somebody driving a scoob off boost on a 30 limit road then coming back and saying it's a crap car. wouldn't you class them as an idiot?

 

It bored me silly. I did play through the the end, but I was very unimpressed with the simplicity, repetativeness of the gameplay, and pretty naff enemy AI. It did look pretty though

 

lol i could be. I think i have got to the point that i know what i like and dont like pretty quick. Alot of shops trade game straight in so i dont see any point hanging onto them just for the sake of hanging on to them. Gears of Wars is nothing new in the PC world other than you could not move around freely.

The game sales say it must be a good game but thats in the console world.

bought Rainbow Six today from Woolies....the demo was great, hoping the rest measures up.

yep - started it last night on the 'hard' (realistic) setting - what a great game!
Still stuck in the train yard, so havent even come close to Vegas yet
