Default Scoobyclinic

Not a particulary good experience.

Phoned on saturday to get a top hose as mine had developed a hole and the car was undriveable.

Spoke to someone at Scoobyclinic, very helpfull and they said they would supply the hose for £15 & £8.99 = £23.99 all in. They only had one 2nd hand and one new in stock.

Told them I'd phone back monday to pay for it if I couldn't source one more local to get the car fixed asap and that was said to be fine.

When I phoned on monday I was just about to pay and they said that the one 2nd hand one was sold only a few hours earlier yet they had then had another 2nd hand one ??? the price had gone up to £20 + vat plus £8.99 postage!! Reason given "the boss said"

As you can imagine not a very happy (non) customer, will think again before I call them for anything else.

Hi Guys,

just to clarify

1st quote hose = £15, postage £8.99 Vat not mentioned
2nd quote hose £20 , postage £8.99

a £5.88 discrepancy including vat .

Can I just start by saying that you spoke to James our new guy he has only been with us for a couple of days, when you spoke to him he was doing his best to give you the correct price and did not mean to make a mistake.

All the prices we quote are plus VAT and when James asked a member of staff he was told £15 for the hose and left out the plus VAT part. please can you imagine just how bad he feels when a mistake he made while training gets put onto the internet. We are running around like mad men trying to get cars ready for time attack this weekend and are very sorry if wires got crossed regards the pricing we are human beings not robots.

Again sorry.

FAO thedevilandhiscar. We are not robbin Bast???? just human beings trying to make a living

Thedevilandhiscar,
you are begining to annoy me! what is your problem, if as you claim we buggered up your engine build then why didnt you contact us directly instead of jumping all over your key board, any one who knows Scoobyclinic knows that if you had a problem with a job we have done then we would bend over backwards to sort it.
You appear all over any thread with our name on just to use the oppertunity to slag us off, be very carefull as some of your posts are hinging on liable, trust me if there is much more I will throw it at our legal department.
Haze 20, I can only appologise for the top hose mix up, Adam has explained why but I guess its no excuse,
Cheers

Adam thank you for your reply, and had I been told any of this when I phoned on Monday then that would of been fine and I wouldn't of posted this on here.

Not sure who I spoke to on Monday but they were not very friendly and the only reason for the price increase was "the boss said".

Had this person told me that there was a new person that had just started and it was a genuine error then I would of bought the hose straight away, however, out of principle and feeling like I was being ripped off I decided not to buy it from you.

The money wasn't really the issue here as £5.88 isn't really worth worrying about it was more the principle of the matter.

I hope that James is getting on OK and wish him all the best working with you, please tell him not to worry about this as the problem wasn't with him it was the reply on Monday.

Thanks for you reply

James

Thanks for reply, all has now been explained.

I am actually looking around for some rolling road tuning and considered you guys because of previous recommendations but after my experience this last week I wasn't to sure.

I'm just glad you and Adam seem so genuine as I am now considering to use you in the future for the rolling road.

Thanks once again for your reply.

James

Human error. It could happen to anyone at anytime if you are rushed off your feet and if you have just started working for a busy comapany you are bound to make a few errors, go though a teething phase until you get to grips with your sorroundings and get a feel for the place. This new guy did not mean to make this slight error in the big scheme of things. There are far far worse things that can happen, but lets not go into that.

Anyway, whats done is done. Water of a ducks back, or under a bridge or wherever you like it.

I don't know where else I would take my car which is only an Impreza Sport to have the work I want done as there is no one else that I know that can do frankley anything you could wish for.

Lets all just sit back, relax and enjoy this loverly weather we are having as it won't last for long knowing Engdland as it is.

I know why, so Mr Thedevilandhiscar can keep the most recent confusion shall we say in regards to scoobyclinic and stop fellow Scoobynetters going to the clinic. Well thats what I am reading from his posts. I think he needs a 'few' strong words spoken to from Shaun, the webby.

Cheers. Thats was the point of ordering them.

Ads said it sounded nice with a hint of flat fourness burble.

Im am going to write up 'Part 2' of my scoobyclinic experience on saturday, or maybe that will have to wait untill sunday or even monday I have done a video of before the headers when on i.e. stock and I'll do a 'now' video with them fitted.
