Default my06 exhaust, turbo, intercooler types

Apologies if this has been done but I couldn't find anything.

Just been made an offer for trade in against a 56 wrx and am seriously considering it.

Anyone know what turbo and injectors are fitted to an MY06 wrx?

Is the intercooler on an 06 any different to an 03? Is the 06 wrx intercooler any different to an 06 sti intercooler?

I know its lots of questions but I have this kit sat here and I'm wondering what can be fitted to the new car.

03 PPP exhaust including sports cat.
TD05 16G turbo
03 STI intercooler.

Cheers
Chris

hi there, i own a 56 wrx and have not long modified some things for power hike. the sti 06 intercooler is probably twice the size of wrx 06 and injectors are 500,s. the turbo is tdo4. hope this helps.

thanks scooby2.5maz so the wrx has 500cc injectors? Sounds like they will be enough for my td05 then!

Anyone know if an 03 sti intercooler will fit to an 06wrx?

hi tuts, the td05 with the right intercooler and exhaust will see a considerable hike in power (after remap). my wrx recently made 340 x 340 at powerstation with similar mods. the injectors fiited are more than capable for the mods. cheers maz

The problem with upgrading the OEM intercooler is that if you dont replace the splitter/scroud you are wasting time and money.
(especially on an 06 which has a very thin charge row length).

I have just released an new TMIC and splitter/scroud/y-pipe combo. More can be read here about it.

New TMIC...sneak peak - Rexnet WRX Forums
lots of pics on pages 3 and 4

and here
TMIC discussion - Factory 2.5L Turbo Powertrain - NASIOC

Discuss??

Thanks for the info.....

I have an sti splitter and scoop from the 03. Will the splitter fit to the new scoop? Is an 06 wrx scoop smaller than an 06sti scoop or is it just the splitter that is different?

Cheers
Chris
