stiv3 rear driveshafts

Question stiv3 rear driveshafts

hi, i've to change the left driveshaft from my stiv3 1997 but i'm living in Belgium where they never been sold.
are the driveshaft same as uk/euro spec 1997 turbos??
wich diameter are they?

there is a difference in length between left and right drive shafts but they should be the same as the Euro ones.

Agree!
The Sti V3 (I have one) has a viscous lsd and the one shaft is longer one one side to engage in the lsd viscous block inside the diff.

StiV3 rear diff in the centre (note extension for lsd) and on the right.
Ignore the shaft on the left!

hi as you said you own same car as mine, i've to change the rear dampers and i know i've to reset the geometry, but as i said above here nobody knows nothing about the stiv3.
could you please give me a geometry setup (it's lowered about 5cm) for front and rear.

The geometry has to be set as a whole car.
The front/rear relationship is really important, and the values used are determined by the parts on the car.

Such a shame you are not in the UK but a good guide is given in:
Whiteline Automotive - performance handling and suspension products. car spring coil shock damper swaybar sway bar anti-sway bush bushes australia australian whiteline automotive performance road holding turn-in camber caster toe in vehicle hot 4 v8
Probably the worst web site to navigate, but if you try hard enough it gives the angles for the mods used on the cars in question.
The magazine articles are very good, try there first.
My chassis is very tweeked and runs some extreme angles for competition and the mods I have, so mine may not suit you at all.
From the pics of your Wagon it sits very low indeed, about 20mm lower than mine, so maybe you have some tweeks on already?

my mechanic did the job in only 3 ours, changing for the euro specs driveshaft! car running fine!
about the geometry...hmmm...i'm still looking for a good setup worth for fast road...

Search for 'fuzz' and soon you will find a message which shows all the angles you will need.
There is a picture of the screen of the alignment display.

Snapped a halfshaft yesterday racing...
