what checks to do when viewing a scooby???
right guys im off to look at a 97 (r reg) impreza wagon tomorrow. pretty standard aprt from dumpvalve ,cat back exhaust ,and k+n filter. its done 82k, just had new clutch fitted.
what things, apart from the standard stuff ie tyre tread etc, should/do i need to check?
any advice would be much appreciated chaps
thanks, gary!

If you do decide to seriously consider buying it, could also be worth getting an RAC vehicle check done. Costs around 200 quid to get a 166 point check, they check -everything-, under the bonnet, under the car, interior, paintwork, and they give it a quick spin to see if anything sounds out of place.
Being completely non-mechanically minded, it's something I'm doing. I'm getting my scooby-to-be checked by them this friday.
They also run all the necessary background checks to make sure it hasn't ever been written off or anything.
