Question Peugeot 406 1.9tdi?

1998 vintage 150K miles FPSH 1 owner

big wadge of receipts including new brakes, disks, pads and cylinders all around and cambelt service at 142K

Any good as a daily driver?
what sort of MPG to expect?

What to look out for?

Many thanks

Paul

ours does 40mpg day in day out, nice comfy car bit unrefined above 80mph but for a workhorse that costs peanuts to maintain you can't fault it. Though ours has 75K on it and has had an easy life

fairly reliable if kept serviced quite comfy daily workhorse although the 1.9 is a bit underpower for a big heavy car
with that mileage and age should be able to get it cheap wouldn't pay more than £750 for it can pick up facelift hdi model on v reg for a grand

engines are good providing regular oil changes have been carried out, worth it for that money if you can prove history
