Default Human nature !

As a rolling road owner and operator, I'm often asked to performance test customers cars, and I'm naturally interested in the results from other fellow operators.
If the owner is presented with a high BHP figure he's always happy, regardless of whether it might be erronous or not.
If the BHP figure is lower than he hoped for, he's always dissapointed, regardless of how well the car drives.

I would compare that feature of Male behaviour with another phenomenon.

If a chap enquired of his Wife, Mistress, Girlfriend, or Sister-in-law ( ! )
could she erm, guess the dimension of his uh, primary appendage, and were she to hazard an approximation, would he protest to the contrary if she over-estimated?

Please note with reference to the above, that I'm happy testing engines, and don't wish to measure anything else!

Merry Christmas...

Could also put it down towhen people put alot of effort and money into their pride and joy, they expect to get something in return. In this case it would be a high output figure. Often these people just add up the power gains that are advertised for each part they install. So even a rough guestimate would be way off.
