hi all just a quick question i have recently bought a walbro 255 fuel pump for my 1998 scooby has anyone replaced one of these if so was it difficult.Just thought i would ask before i attempt it

do a search on here and im sure you will find some old threads about fuel pumps

 

Easy enough just make sure you diconnect your battery and carry out the pump change in a well vented area (outside). The petrol vapours will create a flammable atmosphere so remove any source of ignition. The back seats will require removing and the pump is a lot smaller than the OEM so position the pump and secure with cable ties. Make sure you have grips to close off the petrol line once disconnected to avoid spilling petrol.

Was quoted between £50 - £150 depending on how long it took them at garage so save myself some ££££

 

worth doing on an empty tank and have lots of cloth round to soak up the petrol that will squirt out when you pull the pipes off. An old edition of scoobymagazine has a picture guide in it
