I've tried it on my PUG 306 and it amde a huge difference.
The PUG must run on 95RON or greater and in OZ thats all we had until Shell Optimax 98RON. So I used to use the octane booster and it eliminated the pinging I used to get. Got a bit expenxive though!!
As for the scoob...I've only had it 2 weeks MY01 so I aint putting anything but Shell Optimax..
Try it for 2 full tanks in the Golf and then go back to no additive..bet you will see a big difference.....but again...its pricey..
Hope I have been of some help.

I used this stuff for about 3 months in my STI2 b4 I had the MoTeC fitted and found it very good. I was getting a bit of det , even with 97 fuel , added the Wynn`s and it stopped the det and made the car feel alot better . I would recommend it to any one .

Question

Today, i saw for the first time an octane booster made by Wynn's. Bright purple bottle. 4.5 quid, treats 70 litres.
Since i (probably wrongly) associate Wynn's with all sorts of oil additives you'd never dream of putting in your Scoob,
i emptied the contents into my Golf instead. Early indications are very positive - it does feel significantly more responsive.
Anybody else seen/tried it?

If you think thats good try Millers octane booster.
Has same affect but a fraction of the cost £3.00 per bottle that treats 50lt.
Used on modified MY00 in conjunction with SUL and there is a marked difference.

Rob,

Give Scoobymania a ring - they sell it for just over 3 pounds per bottle.
I've also tried Millers, but my initial thoughts are that the Wynn's stuff is more effective.
Maybe it's just less diluted in the Golf, after all, the Wynn's bottle is a lot bigger...

(The post was originally an offer to supply Wynn's octane booster to anyone interested.
Withdrawn because we cannot use Royal Mail to send as it is classified as a 'prohibited' product.
Only a specialist courier will handle the product which will make the cost prohibitive. You may find a good local supplier at
