See now i like this one, maybe if the orginal poster had it colour coded, it would look better.

i didn`t want it colour coded because my side skirts are the same colour and match the Rotas too

Look's to me that both splitter's are painted the same " satin black " it just look's colour coded on the black car

They're standard on the STi, you can buy them from the Subaru dealer. Been looking for an alternate source for these myself but no one does a replica of them. Grade A Subaru supply new geniune ones but only saving £10

Is the Blob eye STi regarded as the STi 8 or 9?

 

Neither,theres no such beast.It will be Model Year 03,04 or 05

And yes the Blobeyes if followed the original JDM STI naming convention would have been known as and are genrally known as the STi 8/9 depending upon year, but always the blob eye shape.

Going by that the STi 8 would be a Bugeye then.

 

Bugeye would be STi 7, whereas the early blob MY03/MY04 would be STi 8 whereas the MY05 would be STi 9. Or so I've read

No, going by that Blobeyes are 8's or 9's. I'm with dave on this one, 9's are the 2005.

But if you want to argue that black is white, you go ahead m8 if it makes you feel better.

Only wanted to know cause there's a groupbuy on STi 8 bonnet scoops and wanted to know if that's the Blob Eye version rather than the hawk eye

Still I'm glad I asked, otherwise I'd have missed out on those winglets

Theres a group buy for the spliter in the groupbuy section. Ends today though. There's 2 versions, one for if you have the STi winglets, one without.

 

Oh keech, the time it takes me to decide on / buy winglets or not the group buy will be finished.
Oh well, gives me time to check things out.
