Autocar compared the three and although the scoob was slower than the S3 in almost all accelaration tests it was a much better car to drive,
and they even compared it to the Evo.
I guess more miles will improve the performance (still it's not all that bad 5.7 0-60), and a maybe a some aftermarket stuff (Hello Prodrive),
but the most important the chassis is at its best,
they gave the car 5 stars!
