Default Folding wing mirrors - wiring of them

I know this is much talked about because ive read most of the posts! But...

ive now got a set and fitted them (with the correct switch) but they dont work.

You can adjust the mirrors but the folding action doesnt work.

The mirrors have 6 wires coming from them, the loom has 5. Does anyone know where that 6th wire should go?

I havent checked the back of the switch yet, thats for later.

Kip, i think i love you!

My mirrors have the 5 wires coming out of them already so half the loom is there, just got to wire it to the connector in the footwell (which is what was confusing me all this time!)

How did you get that done in the end?
Im trying to put some decent speaker wire through and have had to slip it out the side of the grommet as is leaves the car and then back in through the side of the one on the door (if that makes sense?)
