ABS Light On? MY00
Hi,
Im looking for a bit of advice, I have searched but not found any which addresses my specific problem!
I took MY00 for a full valet and while it was there the valet changed my wheels (from MY00 plain to MY99 gold).
I drove the car home (8 miles ish) and parked up with no apparent problem. The next day I started her up and the ABS warning light was on from the moment I turned the key.
Since then :
I checked my Brake fluid and no problem.
I then checked my brake lights and no bulbs out.
I then took her for a spin to a quiet road to check my emergency stop (to ensure the light was showing a genuine fault), and as expected the ABS has been disableD.
I then jacked the car up and spent 2 1/2 hours removing the wheels and the ABS sensors, giving them a good clean with a rag, wire brush and WD40. Still the light stays on!
I the unconnected the battery for 20 minutes and still no changed.
So I then checked the connection under the back seat however that was also fine.
I have since drove it 20 miles but nothing has changed.
So what next? I had someone coming to buy this car tomorrow but now I need to get this fixed, Im gutted, I was selling this because im skint and really dont have lots of spare cash to have it fixed!
If I take it to someone like Prosport and ask them to check it out how much will it cost to fix? And what would be the worst case scenario, how much would this cost?
Cheers
Leighton
