very high clutch biting point
hi all
the clutch biting point on my sti classic is very high
at the last inch of pedal travel this is where all clutch action happens
Is there ways of adjusting this down a bit?
or is this a problem with slave or mc
Any help appreciated!!
Cheers

Get under the footwell with a 12mm spanner and a pair of pliers, undo the 12mm nut on the shaft on the pedal that goes through the bulkhead and slacken the bolt by using pliers and winding into-wards the pedal, you can notice the thread getting longer.
Adjust this until it suits your driving style.
Another way would be pull out the split pin from the clutch pedal and withdraw the pin so you can unwind the shaft by hand.
I done one at the weekend that was biting at the floor and gearchanges were difficult.

do you mean inside the car? would this help if you were having problems with some gears crunching do you think? mine bites right up at the top as well and im suffering with crunching when i change into 4th quickly
Inside the car, if your clutch is biting near the top and you have crunching then its not a clutch problem, try changing the gearbox oil to castrol syntrax, this should aid quick changes
