Question posed by the 'Undersealed?' thread on here.

The jacking points on my car, used for track days etc, get used rather nore than usual. And it's not doing them any good!

Under normal road use, the jacking points on a car are only used when servicing or fitting new tyres, ie once a year! On my car I reckon it gets jacked up about thirty times a year.

How much of this can the standard jacking points take? What can be done to the car, or to the jack, to protect the bodywork? Are there any more robust jacking points that can be used?

Are you suggesting they should drill holes in the body panels for jacks to slot into like on the world rally car. Now you know why they dont use the same system we are forced to put up with.
