Default Modine leaking oil

Does anything go between the modine and the block?

May sound like I'm a retard but mines pissing oil out and I don't remember seeing a new gasket

I think it was a rubber connection like on the oil filter but cannot fully remember when I did mine..

Did you do the bolt / stud up with a 24mm deep socket? It is the kind of jobs where you go "Oh damn haven't got socket to fit that, I'll get one and do that later" and then unfortunatly get's left.

just been out into the garage and checked my spare engine, flat smooth flange with no gasket marks on it or silicone sealant so pretty sure it was an oil seal in the top of the modine.. I just swapped the modine between engines..

I think I must have thought that it did not have a gasket, unless you can put them on upside down.

Is it one O ring fits all MY models? Does anybody have the part number.

Just that my local Subaru garage went throught the usual "I need a chassis number before I can check the part" I did explain that it would not as the engine and chassis don't match.
