Default How to change up pipe

Done a search but nothing about changing up pipe that i can find. Just wondered whats involved. I have the use of a ramp so getting under car is not a problem.

I can see 3 bolts and fell 2 at the back. Do i need to remove down pipe and turbo to get to them.

Any advise welcome as i'm tackling the job this weekend.

Cheers

I have never changed one myself but have looked at this when removing the downpipe. I think you would un bolt it from the manifold and the turbo, i would also remove the downpipe to give a bit more room. Its basically removing the turbo..

Hope that helps

Sort of - cheers, manifold is off already so just the 5 bolts that hold the up pipe to take off, just wondered what was the best way to do it.

Remove downpipe
Unbolt bottom of up pipe
Undo the nuts at the top of the up pipe (5)
Undo drivers side engine mounting nut
Jack engine up on drivers side (be very carefull where you do this so as not to crush anything, including the sump)
Remove up pipe from the top

Reverse for install

Thankyou chaps, not looking forward to doing it as down pipe was real pain. It seems there is always one bolt that won't come undone and turns an easy job into a 14 hour marathon.
