Just checked oil and i seem to have used some. According to the dipstick (no not me ) it's half way in between the 2 little holes. I'm sure it was full when it was last serviced (7000 mile ago), due 30,000 mile service at end of week. Is it normal to use that amount of oil??

They tend to use a bit more if regularly used on motorways or any other sustained high rev driving. It's also better for the level to be around the halfway point between the 2 marks, or just slightly over. Too much oil can cause problems.

If I was you I'd be checking my oil more that every 7k miles

i change mine every 4
