My gear lever slips back into neutral sometimes when i pull away, is there any adjustment or will fitting a quickshift solve this.

A bent selector folk normally causes this sort of problem

 

Is that inside the gearbox?

it sounds like you the need the new first gear hub and shaft .
subaru know about the prob and this is the official fix.

 

Is this costly as i have no warrenty?

ah yes it will be as it is gearbox out and full shaft strip down

What he doesn't know about Subaru gear boxes isn't worth knowing and does all the Subaru gear kits, and re-builds and repairs for Town End Garage Motorsport who also have loads of second hand boxes and parts if you require them.
