Last night whilst I was driving along I heard a big bang from the rear of the car. Theres now almost no drive, kind of like a really badly slipping clutch.
Theres also a really bad knocking coming from the rear .

I had a look underneath and cant see anything obvious like a snapped driveshaft but it was dark, and it selects all gears ok.

I know its not the greastest information to go on but anyone got any ideas what could of broke? Does this sound like the diff could of gone?

could be diff or a d/shaft CV joint........................
