I rang the subaru dealers looking to purchase a 3-wire speed sensor for my classic impreza (which has a facelift - post '98 odometer) but they only way they can order one is from a chassis number that matches up to the year of car that already has a 3-wire speed sensor.

Now, they said they will check with there servicing team on monday to see if any classics are in.. but otherwise i have to get hold of a chassis#... i did explain to the operator that it's not the kind of information that people are willing to give...
