As I reported earlier the Unichip guys noted a lean mixture and think it is because of the fuel pump.

The presently installed showed 30 psi on idle and 38 psi on full throttle, not sure vacuum on or off.

The pump is from a GDB car which I understand is a STI from 2002 onwards.

My fuel pressure regulator is still standard i.e. OEM 1996, could it be that the GDB pump and the standard regulator dont work together, I read that pre and post '97 cars operate on different fuel pressure.
