Default not much luck lately

Took my car for a drive today stopped at a petrol station ,Pulled out the car was running fine then stopped at a junction a few hundred yards down the road and pulled out the car starts to judder and kangaroo and seems to have lost all power and the rev counter has stopped working the car judders to 40 mph in 1,2,3,4 gears but won,t go any more then in 5 gear it builds up to 60mph.There seems to be a massive power surge from somewhere ,Even the elec windows are slow going up and down. The boost guages show the car is boosting so the turbo seems ok but the car isn't taking many volts.Has this happened to anyone else or anyone have any ideas.

Thanks
James

Could be a problem with the earth on the car as scooby's do have a poor earth connection.
