Went for my scoobs MOT today.......
Got there and was told the MOT computer network was down and they couldent do it!, I was a bit pissed to say the least!
However i did notice they had another car in the workshop with the sniffer up the exhaust, which semed a bit odd.....
So can anyone tell me was there a problem today with the network or was i fed a load of bull ****? Sure be nice to know.......

Nope the feejits VOSA employed to create this system, were so incompetent at creating a basic networked data logging system that they failed incorporate any form delayed data tranmission incase of a network failure (for example of one that works...look at Sky's Pay per view ordering system)
However, they still have an "auxillary" old fashioned written MOT certicates. But they are in a sealed package and can only be issued when VOSA has explicitly given the order (i.e when they realise and admit the system is a complete failure - not going to happen - to much arrogant politics
).

When I had mine tested the other day, it frooze halfway through the test and I had to go back the following day for the certificate. They said it's happening all the time.
My understading is once a car is logged in/MOT started they can't do another car until that one has gone through the system. Sounds like a bunch of kids designed the system in there IT class as part of there course work
