If you have to ask about mpg you cant afford a scoob ...... not being negative, but its true.

You'll do well to average more than about 19mpg in the Turbo 2000 if you use the car hard and even on a run the figure wont rise much above 27mpg

Subaru UK figures for the 2.0 Turbo 2000 models
Urban 20.5
Extra Urban 34.9
Combined 29.7

Lol What's the phrase, "lies, damn lies and statistics"?

I did get over 30mpg in my Turbo 2000 once, during the week of the 2000 fuel crisis. Didn't take the car over 3500 revs or 50mph all week!

Have a look at what i quoted about my rs turbo still a 1.6cvh and doing 35-40 miles on £10.tuned to the **** at 225bhp mind. Owned this car for a year and drive it to work everyday. so you dont need to tell me about running costs. lol..

Just a simple question just so i know..

My My99 with centre cat removed, mongoose b/box and yes an induction kit did an average of 26-27mpg, could get 30 on a run or 20-13 around town. MPG improved with these mods rather than went down but only my 1-2mpg so not really noticeable.

So you can get 30pmg when you wife drives, dito.

I managed to get 24mpg from the wife's Skoda Fabria (1.4), hammering the little thing (yes I wanted to see how low I could get the mpg as an expecise). She gets 45+mpg.

People hear seem to love to boast about how little mpg they can achieve, hardly surpising with all the drag starts and driving around Reading in 1st gear!!

You can get low mpg from ANY CAR if you near the readline with every gear change. By all means use the car, by why constantly sit at 3krpm (in Traffic)and then dump the accelerator at any opportunity.

WRX 26-35mpg ; assuming sensible driving style and boot oscationally oustide central Reading.

Nail, head, hit!

Be pleasantly surprised if you get much more than 20mpg regularly. Any more than that and you're not having any fun at all!!

Its one of those cars that just doesn't respect a budget!! .......................Still cheaper than the gf though!!

I just fill it up when it's nearly empty!
