Default Worth wrapping a decat centre (newage)

Is it worth using exhaust wrap on the first pipe of the two centre pipes on a newage ?

I've bought a decat pipe to replace the section after the downpipe - On my classic I wrapped the D/P (to keep heat out of the engine bay and speed gas flow), but not any of the rest - is there any advantage (or indeed, disadvantage) to wrapping this decat pipe ?

I have the wrap, I won't be replacing the D/P and the pipe is currently of the car (Haven't got the car yet, so can't go under it and have a look where it even fits!)

Ta,

Mark

Not really worth wrapping anything outside of the engine bay, they're not hot enough for it to matter. The downpipe is as far as you want to go really. Headers and up-pipe are worth wrapping if you can.

Thanks - I wasn't sure how far out of the bay it was, as I've not seen under the car yet. Sounds like the D/P goes back to about the same position as the classic, so I can well understand that this decat pipe is under the car, away from the heat issues area.

Thanks,

Mark

No performance advantage, but may help a little with cabin noise.
