The subject says it all really, I have a 1995 Classic shape WRX Jap Import. It only came with one key, the key does have a number on it but maybe this would only be any good in Japan.

Will a normal locksmith be able to cut a key as a spare or will I have to go to subaru with my docs etc.

I live in South London if that helps anyone for recommendations.

Please advise.

 

if the key has anything electronic in it then a locksmith cant do it, but if its just a plain key then anywhere that cuts keys (timpsons ect) will be able to do it for you

 

subaru? not as expensive as you might think. mie was about £30 if i remember correctly, cut and coded for my car, although that is a uk turbo.

 

being a 95 its probably got no transponder so only a few quid..

If its got a transponder you will need to speak to a specialist lock smith.. If your in the Bucks/Berkshire area I can point you in the right direction.

 

I have the same car as you... timpsons cut a key for me... £6.00 Obviously no transponder in it though!

 

Paid £4 at a dealers for my spare key, mines an MY95, so no transponder gubbins.
