can a 752 gearbox be used in place of a newage 754?

as title really, are these interchangable with minimal fuss?

Yes I believe so, they are interchangeable if its a uk to uk swap.

You can fit it OK. You will find there are two less bell housing bolt holes but it still fits. The TY752 will not be as strong as the TY754.
Make sure the diff ratios are compatible.

assuming they are both UK boxes, the diff ratios should be the same right?

The UK box will have a 3.9 front diff and a 1.1:1 dropper in the centre viscuous box and a 3.545 rear diff.

Why put a 752 in place of a 754? that's a BIG backwards step. The 752 is no-where near as strong as the 754. VN suffix to VN suffix is fine, but the older 752 boxes are distinctly dubious for strength.
