Default WRX RA Z5 ECU into non RA?

I have bought a Z5 ecu from a WRX RX (My95/96) and am planning on putting it inot a MY93 WRX wagon, complete with a turbo upgrade to a TD05. I have heard that the Z5 is almost identical to the Z4 which is a known upgrade path, but now im a little worried before i actually do this as i have also been told WRX RA's cannot be mapped with the same settings as non RA's.

Can anybody enlighten me on this one before i just bite the bullet and give it a go? Is the Z5 RA ecu suitable for non RA cars?

cheers

It will be but the rev limit will be higher, you will have a more aggressive map but not a problem if you monitor det, run with booster etc, basically with the Z5 treat it as a Z4, but don't over-rev it.

Basically the Z5 assumes the same components as a WRX so with your TD05 you have the correct spec, bar the solid lifters.
