That looks like an Auto Acoustics "StealthBoXXz". Despite the **** chavvy name they are actually decent pieces of kit. They have an MDF front that's about 3/4" thick, and the back is some kind of moulded plastic shaped to fit the contours of the side of the boot in question so you lose a lot less space compared to a regular subwoofer box. They then line the insides with some kind of sound deadening foam.

I have no idea if the Sub in it is any good (I doubt it TBH) but the box costs about £130 new.

If I owned an Impreza I'd probably take advantage of this guy's appaling advertising skills and buy it cheap, then bin the Sub and stick my old Alpine one in. Sadly Auto Acoustics don't make a version for the Legacy

 

MTX audio equipment is awesome stuff, alot of punch to it, so yes that sub is very good actually
