Try http://www.revolution.eu.com/ for PFF7 copies in the right offset and PCD.

for PFF7 copies in the right offset and PCD.

Just a pity that they aren't big enough for the 235 tyres that we recommend

The ONLY place to get the real thing is from your Subaru Dealer. We have the P-FF7 in either gold or bright flitter and recently we've introduced a new wheel, the GC05 which is a lightweight forged wheel.

53WRX

Due to popular demand (and the badgering we've had on SN ) we have created a new spec of GC05 for the UK. We now have 8x18" in 5x100 for 01-06WRX 4door & 02-04STi and 5x114.3 for 05/06STi. Your dealer has details.

Cool. Will they have to take a 235 width tyre or can you go 225/40. I assume the latter if they are available for the 01 wrx ?

On a car that isn't 5x114.3 you'll need to use a 225 tyre as a 235 will catch at full bump.

Mike,

What weight are these wheels? And any chance of a 8.5x18, 48 offset and 5x100?

Cheers

Dave.

Mike,

On an '05 STi, is there much performance "drop" staying at 225 / 40 x 18 on P-FF7s or should it always be 235 wide tyres? I've heard good feedback from some people who've had Vredestein Ultracs on and am saving the pennies to get some 18"s over the OE wheels. (I know you normally recommend Pirelli's as per the other thread but have also mentioned Pilot Sports...)

As for the US having a different spec to ever here, I got the impression that the offset was different but it seems like their P-FF7s are also ET51 to fit the 05/06 STi and they have anthracite in the range

as per

http://www.rallysportdirect.com/shop...oducts_id/2115

Are there any other specs that are different or is it a country supply issue?

I'm leaning towards gold but anthracite would be a nice alternative as I don't fancy bright flitter...

Apple

We have used a 235 tyre on the 05/06MY cars as they give the best performance. Until recently we found the best tyre available was the PS2 but we've just been able to source the PZero Corsa Assymmetrico that we asked Pirelli to do a couple of years ago so that's what we'll be changing over to.

The offset of the P-FF7 wheels we sell in the US is the same as here, the only difference is the colour range available. We deliberately kept it simple by only having 2 options, Gold or Bright Flitter to minimise confusion. We didn't want the aggro of having several similar colours as inevitably someone would end up with the wrong ones at some point!

Dave

What car are you trying to fit them to? The only spec we do at the moment is 8x18" ET51.

Thanks Mike, I'll see how much a set of those boots are... I guess I'll need to be sat down when I find out

Are Subaru / Prodrive having a special batch made up as the sizes listed on the Pirelli site are a bit extreme for scoobs?

Mike,

Do you mean the PZero Corsa Directionals as these are more sensible in size?

40 235/40 ZR18TL 91N6

Mike,

22b 51 offset won't be any good. Cheers for the info though.

Apple

Those are the 911GT3 RS front tyres, the N6 part is the giveaway as it's only used on Porsche fitments.

Pirelli don't list it on any of their sites I don't think but it is an Assymmetric version with an extra load construction to cope with the weight of an Impreza.

Dave

The P-FF7 will fit and works quite nicely with either a 225/40 or 235/40x18 tyre, just looks a little odd as it doesn't fill the arch out as much.

Regards

Mike

Those GC-05 wheels look great. Anyone have a pic with them fitted to their motor and an idea of price.

Jason

On an 04MY car you'll get the tyres catching the top of the arch on full bump at the front if you use a 235/40 tyre.

Andy

It was clear when I last looked, seems to have filled up overnight. Have cleared some more today so try again.

V5-APS, sorry I miseed your question. The 235 tyre foul is due to the diameter of the tyre, not the width so it's also independant of wheel offset.

V5-APS

The 05MY STi has a slightly longer damper insert so it can't go quite as low as the earlier cars.
