Got one in my inbox today, looks really good but maybe fake. Have reported it to Paypal and will wait for their responce.
Anyone else get the same one?

I get them all the time mate, You never get a link to click if its from PAYPAL, you have to log in from the Paypal site, Just ignore it.
Paypal will most likely already know anyway.

Yeah got a couple - reported them to PayPal and got the (rather obvious) confirmation that they're phishing scams.
What do you mean "maybe fake". Look at where the email comes from and it's obvious. Also, the URL takes you to a non-paypal site plus the english just plain stinks

I think Paypal, and any others for that matter, need to buck their ideas up a bit.
Your typical internet user may not know about phishing and could easily fall for this. Paypal need to send out an e-mail (periodically as people can forget) to ALL users simply stating that phishing e-mails are happening and CLEARLY stating that you are never to be asked to click from a link etc. Go to the site etc.
I have a paypal account and have never heard about phishing from them.

Be wary of ones sent from ebay, especially if you sell on there. I have had one this morning looking like its from an ebay memeber in the 'ask seller a question link' telling me its been 2 weeks now I had won this top of the range hifi thingy and he was reporting me to ebay for non payment, When I clicked the link to log in to my account (even though i'm already logged in) it asks me to log in! They are trying to get peoples ebay account info too now!
I logged into my ebay account for the first time in ages and found I was "watching" all sorts of weird Goth junk, car parts, hi-fi stuff and even fridge magnets - definitely not what I use my ebay account for! Luckily the credit card number on my paypal account is an old one, so "I" haven't bought anything. I've changed all my passwords just to be on the safe side.

i think the tell tales signs when they start of like this
dear ebay member
or
dear paypal member
i'm sure thye normally start of
dear (user id)
or dear (name)
Easy way to tell - just hold your cursor over the link and the actual link ( rather than what is written in text on the email ) will show on the bar on the bottom left of your screen.
If this doesnt begin with the proper paypal or Ebay address you know its a scam mail.
