Default need help finding a quiet exhaust

anyone know of a 3" system that is reasonably quiet, i currently have a nur spec-r and its ok with the bung fitted, but with the bung in it reduces the power which was the reason for buying it. but as i have a small child it is too loud so i have to get rid if i didn't have a child it would be perfect

there are lots of exhausts that are quieter than the blitz nur spec, as that is one of the loudest around. why not ask hayward and scott to make you one, you could just get a backbox and use your centre pipe

Default P1 precautions?

hoping to purchase a p1 very soon but with all the scary stories i have read recently about the p1 (and type r) bottom ends going what precautions would be advised. yeh, dont drive it is a good idea, or even better idea dont let the missus drive it . the car in question is a 2000 reg, full ssh, 27k,and has had oil changed as per instructions. the car has not been tracked or ragged sensless and no mods, its a gem. (its me mates car). is there anything that can be done to preserve the mechanics..... uprated oil pump,? remap ? knocklink? im no techy, and have read mixed views. any veiws appreciated, technical, sarcastic, funny, informative, bring em on just not, do a search! or visit P1 woc.
