Clutch/Gearbox help/advise please
Hello there, have just bought a P reg wagon turbo (non WRX), bought it cheaply as the clutch sometimes slips mostly going in to 3rd gear and is 'notchy' going into 3rd even when not slipping and driving normally (am hesitant to put foot down whilst clutch is dodgy)
So get a new clutch we thinks - but have been told the syncros could be damaged, and also there was a problem with 3rd gear in some scooby boxes getting damaged and could need a gearbox rebuild? In which case it wont be a cheap as just simply having a clutch put in it. (dunno how trustworthy a second hand box would be)
Anyone offer any advice?

- had sourced an Exedy one for Ł127+ VAT and decided that seemed fair to me!

Doh that Exedy seemed cheap compared to most places phoned (including some scooby specialists) ah well you live and learn (always try APi first...), not something likely to replace again in the near future (fingers crossed! lol)
