Default STI Engine?

My girlfriends uncle owns a garage and has had a 4 year old sti come in with a bad back end smash. A write off.
Not sure on mileage or anything yet but would it fit in my 95 classic?
My scoob at the mo is a measly 1.8 as im only 20.

Do you think it is worth a couple of grand for a change in engine or would i be better saving and getting a real scoob and spunking the rest of my £££ on insurance??

I'm not sure if it would fit but regardless of that you would then have to look at other things like suspension and brakes to handle the extra power......
