Play.com vs Amazon

Well for getting games out for date of release then Play.com wins hands down. Amazon are useless! I pre ordered Pro Evo for the PSP weeks and weeks ago on Amazon and guess what, it was posted yesterday with their delivery estimated Tuesday next week

Everything I have ordered with Play.com has arrived on the day of release and they just can't be faulted on that

Only reason i went with Amazon was because they made a pricing mistake but I wouldn't have bothered if i'd known they were utterly useless with posting out on time

Converesly, nothing I have ever ordered from play.com has arrived on day of release. In fact they usually arrive 3-4 days after.

I get everything from gameplay these days. Superb service, and things usually arrive the day before release

Seems luck of the draw then. As it happens my item turned up today even though the order on Amazon says its due for delivery on Tuesday

Will have to check out gameplay and try them next time

my last 3 games ordered from play have all turned up the day of release.

sometimes i use cd-wow as they can be cheaper than play (eg quake 4 and fear: 19 odd quid), although their delievry isnt the fastest

Is it just me ..... or has Amazon ceased to be competitive on price??

Used them a lot 2 years ago ... they cannot tempt me back with their high prices anymore!

I tend to use their resellers. Faster than amazon themselves, and usually cheaper as well..

No problems with Play, again everything i oreder arrives on time, or even earlier. Orderer Charlie and the Choc Factory for the missus and it arrived the sat before release, happened with a few others as well.
