Talking Best ISP deals at the moment question

This has been done to death but not so recently that the deals may have changed.

My father in law is thinking of changing ISP from AOL but not sure what deals are going.

Anyone gone for recent deals and willing to share there experiences.

Thanks all

Roo

We're with V21. £7.99 a month for a 2 meg connection, 2gb limit for downloads but we get nowhere near this. Normal price is/was £9.99 but we opted for Freetalk phone calls and get a further discount. Been with v21 for 4 years now - good bunch, UK tech and customer support.

I pay £24.99 a month with Freedom2surf (2mb-uncapped), I've had no problems and perdiocally do performance checks, with excellent results. Downside is contact with them is unavailable after 17:30, but touch wood, I've not needed to.

I tend to use www.adslguide.org.uk to check ISP comparisions

Tiscali cr*p then

Mark just visited the website and seems like Virgin are a good bet seem solid all round, but then so do BT

Choices, haven't asked what he pays at the mo so that will be the deciding factor. But hear what your saying about you get what you pay for

I personally wouldn't go for Virgin, offering a 512k line for the same rate as someone like F2S offering 2mb. You also have to remember that most of these companies are piggyback selling BT wholesale products.

Looking at the ADSL page seems that Zen are streets above the rest.

Are they an old company ??

That's not exactly true. No-one will get 24Mbps! Its just marketing hype - same as wireless speeds

Most users are around the 10Mbps speeds which is still good but no where near 24Mbps.
