It's an awsome peice of kit isn't it! Definately going to try and get my hands on one when they come out. Hopefully they will produce some great driving games for it.

You can't spend all day playing with your girlfriends breasts mate. Bit of XBOX 360 will breaks things up nicely. If you don't play computer games because you still believe they are for the sad and nerdy then you are really missing out IMHO.

The fact that you can play your old PS2 games will be a HUGE draw to a PS3.

Just as it was with the PS2 playing PS1 games ...... parents like the idea of games already bought still being playable, secondhand games for the old unit are cheap too - its just an excellent strategy

I think the XBOX 360 will be able to play all the current XBOX games, so it's not just the Playstation 3 that can do that.

You just need to buy the hard drive for the XBOX 360 to allow this.

I work with them both, mainly 360 atm till Sony hardware is more commonplace (we only have 3 PS3s) The new shader technology that's coming will make the sad old PS2 look stoopidly primitive.

I think the deciding factor is still going to be price, plus the fact that the PS3 isn't available or exists to the public yet.

Admittedly, I grew out of the whole PS thing after the PS1, and own an Xbox and PC, so I do use Micro$oft products, however, in my defence, I also extensively use Mac stuff, as a balance

What also put the kybosh on my ever purchasing a PS* was when the CEO of Sony said, with reference to the pricing, that people would pay whatever the asking price was, just to own a PS3..........

with an attitude like that, he can kiss my wotsits!!!

At least Microsoft accept that they're not #1 in the "cool" things to have (after they've got the chief super-nerd at the helm!), but they have very aggressively priced the 360 to lure new gamers to the format.

Does anyone actually play PS1 games in there PS2?

I have both and never reall bothered with the PS1 games when i got the PS2? I would of thought this would of been the same for most people?

I think Sony will need to do a lot of catching up if they want to win this race.

PS3 will be the bigger seller. And thats all that matters as the bigger sellers will mean more titles.

 

Thats a very good point .................. I haven't played any PS1 games in my PS2 either.

But, its the simple thing that you CAN if you want to.

Sony are too big to allow the XBOX to kick the PS3 into touch .....
