Just got it 4 days ago and only done 580 miles or so. Stll sticking to low revs until 1000 miles is up but i have just come from an MY95 WRX import and that felt a bit faster - couild this be a symptom that my new car will loosen up shortly?

Its not just the engine that needs to loosen up, think transmission, etc.

I would expect it to loosen up and give max power at around 6-8k miles dependant on how you drive it, thats what my my99 did anyway.
