I am running a fully rebuilt engine with different rods pistons flywheel etc. the engine is well run in now. The car has few add on mods only a full decat. Can I run it on optimax + a bottle on millars with no worries thanks in advance chip

 

What car and model is it? lots of different scoobs out there plus give the year of model also

Hi bud, basically your in the same boat as myself.

I have also just had a full re-build, it's a JDM car and as such should be
run on Optimax or another SUL with booster, that said i do own a Wagon
and the map is not as agressive as the saloon so i can run it on just Optimax.

If your car is also JDM, sorry (Japanese Domestic Market) you should use the
best SUL plus a booster.

I'm getting it re-mapped for UK fuel to make the most of it and to build in
some safety margins, at £2500 for a re-build it will be money well spent.

if its not mapped for a specific ron then the best advice is put in the best which is availabe to you which i believe is optimax, which is 98ron so you're laughing!

 

...and i wudnt use millers, leaves an orange dusty type residue on the spark plugs man

 

its an sti 5 type r

 

On a v5 i would get it remapped, running optimax and octane booster will help, you also need a knocklink to show you if your getting any other problems like det.
