Default power delivery...

i used to own a punto gt a few years ago and all i can remember about it is... if u put your foot down out of a junction nothing happened ffor a split second, then it had crazy boost until about 3k then dragged its way up to top revs, feeling rubbish! i basically changed gear at 3.5k as it felt pointless revving it any higher!

just coming from a clio 172, where it comes to life at 5k lol i enjoy it revving high.

on an my99/00 what is the power delivery like and what does it rev to? what revs do ppl usually change at?

Cheers

Depends what scooby your getting, if its a Turbo 2000 which comes with the little Td04 turbo, the boost will kick in just under 3k or there about but then runs out of puff at 5k and like you say drags nearer the top end of the rpm like the punto GT, Depends really what turbo is fitted to the car, the bigger the turbo the more lag you likely to have, but more power at the top of the rev range.
