Exclamation Imports ?

Hi all,
Just joined your club as am thinking about changing my gen 7 Celica for a Scoob, and I'm after some advice.
I'm looking at buying a 2001, 51 Reg, WRX Sti 310 bhp, but have been informed that the car is a import!! What are the down falls with buying imported cars if any and is there any good points to be had. Also how does the import version differ from a UK spec car.

Many thanks in advance and look forward to all if any answers

must have a few mods if she is 310bhp for a start man, look for proof.. no downfalls at all man apart from the fact that it is run on 100ron in japan, so try ur best to get the best fuel available in england..im not too well up on newage but i think they sti type uk is the same engine wise as the sti import? someone will put it right in a minute
