Default Octane Booster

Just generally trying to find out whether using octane booster gives you a noticeable diffference? Was thinking of going to "the Pod" some time soon for a bit of fun and thought may take some octane booster up with me for added grin factor . The car is mapped to optimax.

It'll help stop det/knock/pinking more then anything else and won't give you the extra 1000bhp as most people expect

as the car is mapped for optimax adding octane booster will add safety, you will need to map for the higher octane to gain more power.

that said i would always run an octane booster if you are going to be giving the car a good thrashing as a few quid on octane booster is cheaper than a fooked engine!

Bear in mind it'll take a few tankfulls of Optimax+OB for the ECU to make the most of it..! (yes even on the latest ECU's ie newage)
