Octane Booster
 

Just generally trying to find out whether using octane booster gives you a noticeable diffference? Was thinking of going to "the Pod" some time soon for a bit of fun and thought may take some octane booster up with me for added grin factor :freak3:. The car is mapped to optimax.

It'll help stop det/knock/pinking more then anything else and won't give you the extra 1000bhp as most people expect;)

as the car is mapped for optimax adding octane booster will add safety, you will need to map for the higher octane to gain more power.

that said i would always run an octane booster if you are going to be giving the car a good thrashing as a few quid on octane booster is cheaper than a fooked engine!

I thought as much, i'll grab a bottle en route and give her a blast!!

Bear in mind it'll take a few tankfulls of Optimax+OB for the ECU to make the most of it..! (yes even on the latest ECU's ie newage;))
