Well, the day is coming, i'm checking out & picking up a standard 04 STi tomorrow. I'm nervous cus i don't want anything to go wrong. I've got hints and tips from people here (thanks) to check the car over, but what about the other things?? Such as the things not covered by the warranty??

I know i should call in the reg to HPI for finance.

How will i know it's not an import??

I've found out that a double din stereo was an optional extra, are there any other things that was on the dealers list i could possibly haggle with??

Is there anything to really check if it's only one year old? Sorry if they seem obvious, did say i was nervous. Parting with a lot of hard earned, never to be attained again money, so want to do the right thing.

Should i call the garage that's serviced it to check it's credentials?

Ah man i'm excited, lOOks like i'll have a set of subaru keys hanging in my house again tomorrow. woo-hoo. I've got a 220 mile drive home, hope i dont faint with the lack of blood to the brain all the way home!!

 

would have definately had a hpi check before i bought the car even at 1yr old would want to know if it`d been smashed or if there were any outstanding finance on it though if your buying from a dealer will usually have been checked.Specialist that i bought my car from told me theyd had mine hpi`d but i still had one meself for peace of minds sake -believe it would come up as an import if it were on the check, but im sure theres ppl on here that will be able to tell you of trim changes or whatever on import versions.
