Default Is it just me?

.....or have any of you, who have totally de-catted their scoobs, fitted a CEL fix box, to by-pass the lambda sensor in the exhaust?

Triton, our local Subaru specialists, told me they decat cars all the time and never fit one never even seen one before

The CEL fix is only required on the new age cars.

Thanks for answering Dyney, just been having a few problems with it, and when Triton told me they had never fitted one, it really confused me

Someone correct me if i'm wrong ( i'm sure they will lol )
But is'nt it for later cars that dont use the (cat heat sensor) thus the cel light comes on,then you can fit a resistor to the cel circuit.
Do searches on here theres prob a thread on it..

Doesn't work even if fitted in most cases. Problem is that it can generate too steady a reading.

But can't you set a min and max reading that the CEL illuminates with the ECUTek software??

I have used a 2300 Ohm resistor and that seems to work fine, (well ok I've not had anyone come back saying the cel light had come back on.)

So, is there any way over the problem then Bob, apart from putting the cats back in?
